Our Legacy
ProVision has changed through the years, but our roots still hold strong. Our history begins during the Internet era of the late 90’s to early 00’s.
ProVision Technology, Inc. was founded in 1997 as a chip production and FPGA and SoC/ASIC design development consulting corporation. We manufactured chips for millions of units since our founding and provided consulting and contracting for well-established corporations and start-up companies for over 15+ years.
We were pioneers in exploring USB and CMOS camera sensor technologies. ProVision designed the early USB PC camera controller chip connecting USB 1.1 to camera sensors. Working with one of our clients, we also developed their USB CCD image sensor PC camera and their USB CMOS image sensor PC camera.
Features
– We developed proprietary compression technology that increased the framerate to overcome USB bandwidth limits
– We developed high performing, low-cost proprietary image processing technology for sensor Bayer Pattern pixel arrays
– We incorporated proprietary decompression technology with Windows drivers
– Our code drastically reduced CPU processing power used for compression
– Two models were created: USB CCD image sensor PC camera and USB CMOS image sensor PC camera
Since ProVision’s inception, we have now greatly expanded our services and capabilities. ProVision now offers graphic design, web design, video and animation, and sound design services through our Creative Studio.
